Venture Guides Caps off Strong Year of Growth; Announces 3 Key Milestones

One year ago, the Venture Guides team launched the firm, with a mission to partner closely with founders, providing both venture capital and active guidance; to remain sector-centric with a deep focus on cloud, security, and data; and to approach every deal with a team-based methodology that ensures alignment, transparency and widespread expertise for founding teams.  Reflecting on our first year in the market, the journey has been one of growth, active learning, and 6 exciting investments.

As we kick off 2024, we are happy to announce three key milestones:

1. Welcoming Leigh Moore as Marketing Guide / Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

We are thrilled to introduce Leigh Moore as the newest addition to the Venture Guides team, taking on the important role of Marketing Guide and CMO. Leigh brings more than 15 years of experience in building and leading B2B technology marketing teams - having started her career with this team in a previous portfolio company. More recently, Leigh served as the first marketing leadership hire at Snyk, where she contributed significantly to the growth of the brand and organization for nearly 5 years.

In her role as CMO at Venture Guides, Leigh will guide founders and portfolio marketing leaders. Additionally, given her wealth of marketing experience, she will develop and implement our Venture Guides strategic marketing initiatives.

2. Expanding Our GTM Community: env0 joins Elastio and Elastiflow in our shared Boston office.

Venture Guides assists portfolio companies by offering office space on our 9th-floor location in Boston’s HUB. This initiative fosters a sense of community while providing daily support and leadership for start-up GTM teams, founders, and sales leaders during the early stages of building and running sales teams.

We are excited to announce that Venture Guides has opened its doors to its third portfolio company, env0. Led by Founder & CEO Ohad Maislish, Founder & CTO Omry Hay, and newly appointed COO, Steve Corndell, the env0 sales team joins the fun and vibrant community alongside Elastiflow and Elastio. This collaborative environment sets the stage for shared “best practices” insights, collaboration, and accelerated growth for all companies involved.

3. Venture Guides Launches its Technology Advisory Network (VG-TAN) including industry-leading members

As part of our commitment to providing unparalleled support to our portfolio companies, Venture Guides is proud to launch the Technology Advisory Network (TAN). This network comprises more than 60 leaders across industry-leading companies, including Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley, Rapid7, Home Depot, and many more.

The TAN members widen our ecosystem of advisors to strengthen our active learning, test our sector theses, and advise our portfolio companies. The TAN initiative aims to facilitate meaningful professional connections, knowledge sharing, and mutual learning representing the industry’s most sophisticated practitioners. We extend a warm welcome to all of our new TAN members and look forward to an engaging and collaborative year ahead.

Venture Guides is entering 2024 with strong momentum, driven by a commitment to excellence and a unique approach to team-based venture investing and guiding. The addition of Leigh Moore, the expansion of our domain-centric portfolio, and the growth of our portfolio companies - in part due to sharing office space with Venture Guides - are pivotal steps toward further enhancing the value we bring to our investors. As we continue guiding and building great companies, the year ahead promises to be filled with growth, innovation, and exciting opportunities for our team and our portfolio.
